CruiseControl.NET Issue – viewbuildreport.aspx

I have recently setup CruiseControl.NET for my CI environment.

I came across an issue with the viewbuildreport.aspx page I kept getting a HTTP 404 error after a lot of googling  I found this post http://www.callicode.com/myBlogs/tabid/53/EntryId/25/File-not-found-when-selecting

Summary here: (original post on http://www.callicode.com by Javier Callico)

The issue is with the UrlScan blocking the calls and returning the HTTP 404 error because the URLs contained dots as part of the path, for example:
http://localhost/ccnet/server/local/project/testproject/build/log20090629092945Lbuild.1.xml/ViewBuildReport.aspx

Setting “AllowDotInPath=1” in the urlscan.ini file fix is the issue (Restarting IIS was not required).

The UrlScan configuration file is usually located at the following location:
%windir%\system32\inetsrv\urlscan\urlscan.ini
